What is a Super Total?

The MIA Classic Super Total event combines both the Powerlifiting and Weightlifting! Athletes will have the opportunity to compete in the USAW Sanctioned Weightlifting event on Saturday and then compete in the USAPL Sanctioned Powerlifting event on Sunday. Your Sinclair total will then be added to your IPF points in order to get your Super Total! The athlete with the highest super total takes home the gold and bragging rights!

How is super total scored? 

We will combine your Sinclair total plus your IPF points to obtain your Super Total. The athlete with the highest total takes home the gold!

Can I get a refund? 

No. There are no refunds for this event. You can however transfer your registration so another athlete as long as it is before the cut off time of November 4th, 2019.

Do I have to have a USAW and USAPL membership?

Yes. Because both events are sanctioned, you will need to be an active member of both federations in order to participate in the super total event

Is there a spectator fee?

Yes, $5 per day

When's the deadline to register? 

The last day to register is October 30th or when the event sells out

Do I have to weigh-in twice if I am doing super total?

Yes. Each event is sanctioned in their Federation so all rules apply. You will need to weight in for the weightlifting event on Saturday before your session and then again on Sunday for the powerlifting event. 

What's the coach fee and when do I pay? 

There is no coaches fee! Each athlete will receive one free coaches pass which will grant them free entry to the event and access to the warm-up room during your session

Can this be my first meet? 

Yes! This absolutely can be your first meet.

Do I have to pay double if I want to do Super Total? 

No. The super total event is $125 and includes both powerlifting and weightlifting events

Does my equipment have to be on the IPF Approved List?

Equipment only needs to fall in line with the specs outlined in the USA Powerlifting (USAPL) Rulebook. You don't have to have equipment from the IPF Approved List.

What if I don't make weight?

You must weigh-in during the specific weigh-in window. If you don't make weight for your designated weight class, then you'll be moved to the weight class in which you weigh-in at.
